Building is Better! Educational Grant

Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Teachers from both public and private schools in Tift, Irwin, Worth, Turner, and Berrien Counties (GA) may apply.
The purpose of this grant is to help teachers obtain the supplies and materials they need to implement a hands on learning experience for their students. While we LOVE to see students building things we absolutely know that students are building a better learning experience if they are hands on involved in any way - not just building things. Perhaps you are an art teacher who has a wonderful idea for connecting an art project to classroom standards using a STEM/STEAM project. Maybe you are a writing teacher who has a vision for students creating projects to support their writing. Or maybe you are a PE Coach or music teacher with a wild new idea for a STEM/STEAM project that supports a classroom standard.
Applicants must be primary, elementary, or middle school teachers in TIft, Berrien, Worth, Turner, or Irwin Counties (public or private schools). Our goal is to award one winner from each county a grant of $250 to be used for a STEM/STEAM project. If there is a county with no eligible applications received then those funds will be awarded to a second winner from one of the other counties. The application deadline is August 31, 2022. Winners will be announced September 6 - 13, 2022. 
​Evidence after winning: Winners must submit a video (five minutes or less - two minutes is fine) showing the educational outcome of the grant they receive. A simple video made with your phone is fine. If your video shows students working please submit signed permission from parents to us for their child to be featured in a video that we will share on our website and through our Facebook page. One way around this is to ensure student faces are not shown in the video. The video must show a STEM/STEAM project that supports a grade appropriate GA standard undertaken with the use of the funds awarded. Grant winners must submit their video to Excelsior Buildings. LLC no later than March 31, 2023. Applicants must complete all areas of the application in order to be eligible.
